Privacy Policy

1. Data Collection and Usage

We do not collect any personal data. Glide Launcher operates entirely offline and locally on your device. We do not have servers, we do not use third-party analytics trackers, and we do not monitor your usage.

Information regarding the apps you have installed, how often you use them, your widgets, or your customized layouts is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

2. Required Permissions

To function as a home screen replacement, Glide Launcher requires certain standard Android permissions. None of these are used to collect data about you.

• Query All Packages (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES)
  This is required for the core functionality of a launcher. It allows the app to discover and display the list of applications installed on your device in the App Drawer and the Quick Access Wheel. This data never leaves your device.
• Accessibility Service / Device Admin (Optional)
  This permission is strictly used to enable the "Double Tap to Sleep" gesture functionality. We do not use the Accessibility Service to monitor your screen content, log keystrokes, or collect any data.
• Storage / Photos / Media (Optional)
  This may be requested to allow you to apply custom wallpapers, load Icon Packs from your storage, or perform local backups and restorations of your launcher layout.
• Location / Network (Optional)
  If you use the Weather widget or the RSS Feed panel, the app requires network access to fetch this data directly from the respective providers. Your location is only used locally to fetch accurate weather data and is never logged or stored by us.

3. Backups

Glide Launcher offers a feature to backup your settings and layout. These backup files are generated locally and stored on your device's internal storage. It is your responsibility to keep these files safe. We do not sync them to any cloud service.

4. Third-Party Services

While the launcher itself collects no data, you may use widgets, RSS feeds, or Icon Packs from third parties. When fetching RSS feeds or Weather, your device connects directly to those third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services, and we encourage you to read their respective privacy policies.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. However, our core commitment to absolute privacy and zero data collection will never change. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
